Download a Registration Form for our Dachshund Backs Thermal Imaging Research
A research project into Dachshund Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) is being launched at the Southern Dachshund Association’s Championship Show on January 19th 2012. The project, initiated by the Dachshund Breed Council’s Health Sub-committee, will initially record thermal images of the backs of Smooth and Miniature Smooth-haired Dachshunds with a view to collecting data over a period of years on the signs of a healthy back. This project will run in parallel with the DNA research also underway. For more information on this project, please contact Anna Schumann or Ian Seath. There is no cost to anyone for participating in this project and it is completely non-invasive for the dogs. Details of how to find the venue are here. Download a Registration Form to complete and bring with you to the show.
