Scottish Dachshund Fun Day – a day at the races!

More than 200 Dachshunds (and their owners) turned out for the Scottish Dachshund Club’s Walk and Fun Day at Musselburgh Racecourse on Sunday 15th July. Two highlights of the day, Dachshund lure racing and agility, were both a great success.

The fun day was in aid of Dachshund Rescue and IVDD. Secretary Christine Russell said “Thanks to everyone for all their effort and to all the busy people who gave up their Sunday to help.

Convenor, Colin McGavigan said “Thank you to Clan Mitchell and their friends for organising and managing such a fabulous event, thank you to the Directors and Staff of Musselburgh Racecourse for all their assistance in letting us have an event that actually felt like we were hosting it on our own premises, an amazing soft touch management approach by the race course. Thank you to all our sponsors and the vendors on the day“.

We’re looking forward to hearing how much money was raised for two very important causes.

Here are a few pictures from the day. Visit the SDC Facebook page for more photos.
