We are really delighted to announce that members of the Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey Dachshund Owners’ Facebook Group raised a total of £718.50 at their Summer Fun Day!!!! This has been split and sent to the Dachshund Breed Council Health Fund for IVDD Research and Laforadogs.com. They each get £359.25!!! So thank you so much to everyone who made the effort to come on the day and supported the event and to all the kind raffle donors. Special thanks also to The Artful Dog Studio for the silent auction and raffle prizes, RSA Photography and Emma Newman for taking photos during the event, held at Frimley Park on 28th June.

The Artful Dog Studio also came up trumps by offering the main prize for the silent auction (which raised an additional £225) and 5 raffle prizes of a free dog studio sitting and photo. There was a fun dog show with classes for cutest puppy, prettiest bitch, most handsome dog, waggiest tail and Competitions included fastest sausage eating sausage and weiner races. More than 60 people attended, with at least as many Dachshunds.
The event was organised by Nikki Harris and Claire Fedder, to whom we offer our grateful thanks for all their hard work and successful fund-raising.
